Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday arrived in Gujarat, a day after the cyclone Tauktae left behind the devastating pictures of people in pain and agony. The prime minister on boarded the Air Force chopper from Bhavnagar to know more of the situation.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Bhavnagar’s mayor Kirtiben Dandharia and other senior officials from government of Gujarat remain present to welcome him at Bhavnagar base.
After having glance at the situation of the affected areas, he will come to Ahmeabad where a meeting has been organised between top government officials with Modi.
It should be noted that at least 17 people died as the cyclone Tauktae ravaged the state from Monday evening till Tuesday evening. Bhavnagar district was worst affected where the number of death have been reported as 5 and other affected areas where people lost their lives are; Gir – Somnath, Panchmahal and Amreli.
