Kanti Bhatt Memorial and Reading Room; One of its kinds with about 1600 articles of the writer

Kanti Bhatt Memorial and Reading Room’ is a tribute to almost six decades of journalist work of Late Kantibhai.

Ahmedabad unit of Bharatiya Vidya  Bhavan and well known journalist Sheela Bhatt will dedicate to  the  public ‘Kanti Bhatt Memorial and Reading Room’ at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Khanpur, Ahmedabad on Tuesday,  February 21, 2023. Renowned Gujarati  author and playwright Madhu Rye will do the honours.

‘Kanti Bhatt Memorial and Reading Room’ is a tribute to almost six decades of journalist work of Late Kantibhai, and one of its kind for any Gujarati author and journalist so far. It houses about 1,600 books of personal collection of Kantibhai, graciously donated by Sheela Bhatt to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Ahmedabad. The air-conditioned memorial also consists close to 16,000 articles penned by KantiBhatt. This content will be offered to students, researchers, and other readers absolutely free,” said memorial curator, Shyam Parekh.

Keyur Dhandeo, Co-ordinator of Bhavan’s Harilal  Bhagwati Institute of  Communication and Management, Ahmedabad said, “ We are sure that you appreciate this unique initiative to preserve legacy of Gujarat’s one of the finest  journalist and author, and so request you to depute your correspondent, photo-journalist, videographer to cover this unique event on February 21. The event is going to take place at Geeta Hall, Bhavan’s College Campus, Near Rifle Club, Khanpur, Ahmedabad.”
