Deputy chief minister Nitin Patel

Over 2200 doctors of government hospitals and GMERS to get benefit of Rs 5000

Intern doctors who were on strike over several issues have won their battle as the state government on Saturday declared rise in their stipend. The decision was made public by the deputy chief minister Nitin Patel. Over 2000 intern doctors of government and GMERS hospitals will get benefit from this decision. This means the total amount the student doctors will get would now be Rs. 18000 and those who are completing their term in February 2021 will be benefited.

Talking to media Patel said, “Before two days, the government had detailed discussion with the doctors who were on strike and after pursuing them they decided to call off the strike. We have also taken in to consideration the hard they have done during the pandemic period and therefore this decision has been made.”
