The Gujarat state government on Monday extended the night curfew along with other restrictions in state for four more days, till May 20th. The curfew is extended in 36 cities.
In a press release chief minister said, that crucial services which includes provision stores, shops of vegetables and fruits, medical stores, milk parlours, bakery and other food material shall remain open as per the prescribed time. Shops related to Ophthalmology shall remain open.
The curfew remains from 8pm till 6 am. The decision has been made for the betterment and welfare of people, Rupani said. However, the curfew does not apply to essential services such as, medical staff, police, press – media and fire.Along with this, take-away services too shall work, online services and selling of essential goods shall work.
Cases fall
The overall cases of Covid 19 in Gujarat state have fallen as the state records 7135 cases till Monday evening. According to the figures provided by the state government, 12342 patients got recovered and with this the recovery rate of state is 85.68%. Ahmedabad city recorded highest cases as the number of patients reached to 2338 in corporation limit only. 39 cases recorded with rural Ahmedabad.
