Ever pack your luggage for a vacation only to have the airline “accidentally” dispatch it on a solo trip to a mysterious location? Some unlucky passengers have had the experience. Now, a multimillionaire techie, Pieter Levels, created a new website that ranks airlines by the number of items they have lost.
The website, a “revenge project”, is aptly called luggagelosers.com.
Why revenge? Well, the idea for the website came to Levels after his girlfriend’s luggage went missing thanks to a Spanish low-cost airline. This prompted him to come up with the website.
“I made this because Vueling lost my girlfriend’s suitcase two weeks ago and still hasn’t returned it,” Levels said in a post on X.
As per the website, two Indian airlines — Air India and SpiceJet — have made the cut to the top five luggage losers.
However, since the source of the report is taken from social media, India Today TV cannot verify it.
The website’s rating algorithm is more than just a random list. It takes into account each airline’s size, including flight numbers and fleet size.
“It’s a live ranking of airlines by how much luggage they are losing right now,” Levels explained.
So, it’s like a real-time scoreboard of luggage going MIA.
