New Delhi: After reading this article medical persons may get frightened but it’s an interesting incident. In New Delhi on Wednesday late evening a thief entered into a jewellery store wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) kit to hide his identity and flee away with jewellery worth Rs 13 crore. He however, was later identified as local electrician and got arrested.
According to sources, he has said to have stole 23 kg of gold which is worth Rs 12 crore in market. The identity of the burglary to be revealed after inspecting the CCTV footage in which is is seen entering the store from the terrace of the adjacent shop.
The alleged thief – identified as Mohammed Shaikh Noor can be seen searching for jewellery items as he climbs over a desk to go to the other side. The man took the stolen gold in an auto. Noor is said to be from Karnataka’s Hubbli. He works at an electronics shop in south Delhi’s Kalkji, not too far from the jewellery store.
Officials have said he entered the showroom alone at 9:30 pm on Tuesday and left at around 3 am.
Police is investigating the incident further.
