KIIT ranks 8th globally in SDG ‘reducing inequality’

In the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022, published on 28th April 2022, KIIT is ranked 8th among the world’s universities in the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) for ‘reducing inequality’.

In addition to the World University Rankings, the Times Higher Education publishes other rankings of institutions on various parameters each year. One of the most important of these is Impact Ranking, which evaluates thousands of universities around the world for their contribution to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings evaluate their commitment to sustainability in four broad areas. These areas are research, management, outreach and education.
In this year’s ranking, KIIT is ranked 8th in the world for its impact on one dimension of SDGs – ‘reducing inequality’. With an impressive rank of 101-200 in other SDGs – quality education; Peace, justice and strong institutions; And Partnership for Goals – KIIT ranks 201-300 overall in the rankings, listing more than 1,500 universities from 106 countries. There are only a few Indian institutions in the list and KIIT is among the top eight universities in India.

Along with quality education and research, KIIT has been actively involved in a wide spectrum of social development activities since its inception. “KIIT has done extensive work in the field of reducing inequality. KIIT’s high ranking in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings reflects its high social responsibility and impressive contribution towards sustainable development.
